Product Description

Custom Printed Blade Flags

Make your business, event or promotion stand out with our Custom Printed Blade Flags. Designed to create maximum visibility while remaining lightweight and portable, these eye-catching advertising flags are ideal for businesses, exhibitions, events, retail premises, showrooms, sporting events and promotional campaigns.

Available in four sizes from Small to Extra Large, our Blade Flags are custom printed with your own logo, branding and artwork onto premium 117gsm Knitted Polyester.

Using professional dye-sublimation printing, your design is reproduced in vibrant full colour with approximately 80–90% show-through on the reverse, helping your branding remain visible from both directions.

Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, Blade Flags provide an effective and reusable way to get your organisation noticed.

Why Choose a Blade Flag?

Blade Flags combine height, movement and vibrant printed graphics to create a display that's difficult to miss.

Their distinctive curved shape keeps more of the graphic visible than a traditional loose flag, while the tall design allows your branding to be seen from a distance.

They're particularly effective outside business premises, at exhibitions and events, alongside entrances and walkways, or anywhere you want to attract attention to your brand, promotion or location.

When your event or promotion is finished, the collapsible pole system makes the flag easy to dismantle, transport and store ready for its next use.

High-Quality Dye-Sublimation Printing

Each Blade Flag is printed onto 117gsm Knitted Polyester using a professional dye-sublimation printing process.

Dye sublimation uses specialist inks and heat to fix the colour into the fabric fibres, producing vibrant graphics while retaining the lightweight characteristics of the polyester material.

Our standard single-sided Blade Flags achieve approximately 80–90% image show-through on the reverse.

This means your branding remains clearly visible from both directions, although the image on the reverse will appear mirrored.

Right-Facing or Left-Facing Blade Flags

Blade Flags are available in right-facing and left-facing orientations.

On a right-facing flag, the pole and base are positioned on the left-hand side of the graphic.

On a left-facing flag, the pole and base are positioned on the right-hand side of the graphic.

Separate artwork templates are provided for each orientation and the appropriate template must be used when preparing your artwork.

Choosing the correct orientation can be particularly useful when flags are positioned alongside entrances, pathways or in pairs.

Double-Sided Blade Flags

For applications where you require different artwork to be read correctly from both directions, a double-sided Blade Flag option is available.

Our double-sided flags are manufactured using two printed Knitted Polyester graphics with a blockout membrane positioned between them. All three layers are stitched together and supplied as one complete graphic.

The blockout layer prevents the artwork on one side showing through to the other, allowing each face to display correctly rather than appearing mirrored.

Important Information About Double-Sided Flags

Double-sided flags are considerably heavier than standard single-sided flags.

Our standard flag bases are not designed to support the additional weight of double-sided flags. For this reason, flag bases are not covered by our warranty when used with double-sided flag graphics.

Please consider the intended installation carefully before ordering a double-sided flag.

Blade Flag Bases

A range of base options is available depending on where your Blade Flag will be installed.

Bases are not included as standard and should be selected separately to suit your intended location and surface.

The appropriate fixing will depend on factors including whether the flag is being used indoors or outdoors and whether it will be positioned on hard or soft ground.

If you're unsure which base is most appropriate for your application, please contact us before ordering and we'll be happy to advise.

Wind & Weather Conditions

Our Blade Flags are suitable for outdoor use when correctly installed and are rated for winds up to Beaufort Force 4 – approximately 13–18mph.

Flags should be dismantled during adverse weather conditions and whenever wind speeds exceed the recommended limit.

Heavy rain combined with strong winds can significantly increase the weight and loading on the flag, pole and base, so weather conditions should always be monitored.

Correct positioning is also important. Ensure your flag cannot catch or snag against its own pole, nearby flags, buildings, trees or other surrounding objects.

If you're displaying multiple Blade Flags, leave sufficient space between them to prevent the graphics and poles interfering with one another.

Caring for Your Blade Flag

Outdoor flags are exposed to sunlight, pollution, wind and changing weather conditions throughout their working life.

Over time, UV exposure can cause fading and deterioration of the fabric, while airborne pollution can cause white and lighter areas to become grey or discoloured.

Your Blade Flag can be washed in a domestic washing machine on a 30°C wash without detergent.

Always allow the graphic to dry completely before folding or storing it.

Taking your flag down during adverse weather and storing it correctly when not in use can help maximise its useful life.

How Long Will a Blade Flag Last?

The lifespan of any outdoor flag depends heavily on its location, climatic conditions and the number of hours it is flown.

As a realistic guide, the maximum lifespan of a regularly used outdoor flag is approximately six months.

A flag that's used occasionally and stored correctly between events may last considerably longer, while one displayed continuously in an exposed location may experience wear more quickly.

Flags are therefore best considered a consumable outdoor advertising product, with replacement graphics available when required.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Blade Flag?

A Blade Flag is a tall, curved promotional flag designed to display branding, advertising or event graphics. Its distinctive shape provides a large visible graphic area and makes it particularly effective for attracting attention from a distance.

Are Blade Flags suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. Our Blade Flags are suitable for indoor and outdoor use when appropriately installed and are rated for winds up to Beaufort Force 4 (13–18mph).

What sizes are available?

Our Blade Flags are available in four sizes: Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large, with overall standing heights ranging from approximately 2.56m to 5.14m.

Are the flags printed on both sides?

Our standard Blade Flags are printed onto one layer of Knitted Polyester and achieve approximately 80–90% show-through on the reverse. The reverse image will therefore appear mirrored.

A separate double-sided option is available using two printed graphics with a blockout membrane between them.

Can I have different artwork on each side?

This can be achieved using the double-sided construction, which uses two printed fabric graphics separated by a blockout layer.

Does the Blade Flag include a base?

No. Bases are available separately, allowing you to select the most appropriate option for your intended location.

What's the difference between left-facing and right-facing Blade Flags?

A right-facing flag has its pole on the left-hand side of the graphic, while a left-facing flag has the pole on the right. Separate artwork templates are available for each orientation.

Can Blade Flags be washed?

Yes. The fabric can be washed in a domestic washing machine at 30°C without detergent. Always allow the flag to dry completely before storing it.

How long do Blade Flags last outdoors?

This depends on weather conditions, location and how frequently the flag is used. As a realistic maximum, a flag used regularly outdoors should be expected to last around six months, although occasional use and careful storage can extend its useful life.

Should I leave my Blade Flag outside in strong winds?

No. Blade Flags should be dismantled when wind speeds exceed Beaufort Force 4 (13–18mph) and during other adverse weather conditions.
